Can someone tell me where 2010 went?   Cheesy

If you find it, please send me part of July--that seemed to go pretty well, as I recall.  Tongue

I'm going to have to think about what to put on my list this coming season. Everyone at home wants me to have a "plan" for my upcoming job-hunt and return to Seattle, but frankly, making any plans until I get back there, and effectively out of "home and it's Christmas" mode.

If you are referring to a statistics class, then I wish you much luck.  I had to take it this semester and ended up dropping it.  It wasn't pretty.

Don't tell me that, I haven't doen any maths since year 10 and I need it for psych which is what my major will be.  Sad

First update of the season!

Grown Up Worries:
1. Reduce debt by 5%.
2. Complete the shutdown of LunaSeas. - Work in progress, but nearly finished!
3. Get HMD products pared down, organized and inventoried. - WIP.

Creative Projects/Fun Stuff:
1. Begin revision of Odinsdatter.
2. Post regularly to all blogs. - WIP - new posts to all blogs this week.
3. Finish the pile of fairy wands.
4. Read at least four books.

Health/Wellness
1. Kick winter depression/SAD's butt by:
    a. Exercising outdoors two hours each week. - WIP- shoveling snow counts!
    b. Nourishing body properly, including vitamins and healthy food. - I could have done better this week- one too many Christmas gatherings and far too much rich food.  If I see cream cheese again in this century, it will be too soon.
c. Keep "work" time under 60 hours/week total combined (day job & PT business).  - Success this week!
d. Scheduling at least one day completely off each month.  - I took yesterday off- first time in at least six months that I haven't worked either the day job or my side businesses.  Felt wonderful!
    e. Performing a daily candle ritual or meditation to stay grounded. - WIP.

Spirituality
1. Deal with the mess that is my herb cabinet. - WIP.
2. Begin converting spirituality-related notebooks/journals into organized blog posts. - Major WIP.  This is going to take more than a season to finish, but at least it's under way.

OK, I'll be another latecomer.

One goal only, and very specific: Finish writing part 2 of the 3-part myth I've been stuck on forever.

My game plan is to use this thread as my prompt. Since I check the Cauldron regularly (usually in winter at least once a day, with no more than 3 days going by between visits, absolute tops), if I hit "show new replies to your post" and this thread pops up, and I haven't written since the last time it popped up (assuming at least a day has passed), that'll be my cue to get busy.

It depends on your math abilities.  If you are generally pretty good and don't make stupid little mistakes like I do, then you should be ok.  See if your uni has statistics geared specifically for psych/soc majors.  That might help with the "why is this relevant" thing.

I was always better than average at maths, but never actually good. Unfortunately for the last 15 years all I have done is count to 10 usually with the help of a song so I will just have to hope for the best. I am going to get my dad who actually teaches stats to teach me the basics while I am over here, so I am hoping that will go=ive me enough to pass at least.

That's the course I'm scheduled for in the coming semester. Dreading it, but at least it ties in with what I'm doing.

Thank you. I cheat though by living in remote Australia. It makes getting a job so much easier.
