Thank you. I cheat though by living in remote Australia. It makes getting a job so much easier.

Yeah, I've heard from Aussie friends that you guys are weathering the global downturn best of any Western nation.

Mundane Stuff

1. Get my office room cleaned up/sorted out - already a 40% success!
2. Do the papers for the tax and file them and the others - I started, that is something!
3. Keep at least the living room in a state that allows a surprise visitor in - it is still ok, well I should put some stuff away tomorrow Wink

Writing

4. Just do it, woman. (For crying out loud. Get going!) - working on the new writer blog, I intend to put up on January 1st
5. Read! At least one book in a fortnight. (You used to do that in three days! What happened?) - first book finished! Yeah!

Spirituality

6. One devotional act a day - come one, that is not too much to ask! - somehow this does not go like I wish it would Sad but well, there is still some time to get going on this point

First update!

Semester Goals
1. Maintain an A/B average (easier goal than getting all A's).
2. Publish Sore.
3. Publish JSM.
4. Mount publicity campaign for HTKAH.
5. Work on my own book/s. Ideally JSOA and/or IOFAW half-finished by end of semester.
6. Love the cat.
7. Stay on my diet plan (gluten and lactose free) as much as my money flow allows.
8. Exercise regularly.
9. Take more pictures.
10. Don't miss any classes.
11. Schedule dental work for myself.
12. Write a blog entry a month, each blog. Maybe do a theme or something.

December (21st -- 31st)
1. Help Boyfriend clean and organize his suite, if only for my own peace of mind. -- While this is not technically done, he and I had a good conversation about it and we're going to be taking steps to make it so I don't change his bachelor-lifestyle too much, but I can still stay there without having a nervous breakdown. Compromise is a lovely thing.
2. See Opa. -- On Christmas Day, even! It was a good visit, but difficult. I have no idea what to say to him because there's nothing I can do to make things better. I miss her too. I had to choke back tears walking down the hallway to their apartment.
3. Get to PR and have biz mtg. -- I am here in PR. Biz meeting is scheduled for tomorrow afternoon before I hop on the ferry again.
4. Go through things in PR. Get mattress into car. -- I'm working on this, but mom may have not left her key here...meaning I can't get into the garage, meaning I have no way to get to my mattress. Meaning I have no bed until the second weekend of January. @#%$@$^%#$%^#@$%@#$
5. Get everything moved in on morning of 31st; spend afternoon cleaning old place.
6. Work out weekly devotion/offering schedule, to be started in new year.
7. Hit 85.
8. Work on Merrymaker title. -- Yeah, I worked on it. No where near getting it though, so the achievement will have to wait till next year.

January 2011
1. New Year's Day: freaking pancakes in my new place. And spend day putting stuff away/smudging and cleansing, make some wards.
2. Create brat and Brighid's cross for exchange.
3. Pay tuition.
4. Meet with Dean about Lighting Design class.
5. Put together costume and routine for gong show and burlesque troupe audition.
6. Become super-organizer.
7. Get into a yoga routine.
8. Get into a meditation/daily devotional routine.
9. Work hard; save money; stay on budget.
10. Get at least half-way through THS Vol II; ideally 75%.
11. Finish THS Vol I: edits to layout, etc, moving photos to right areas, fixing typos. Get to printer's.
12. Work with author on publishing her poetry book.
13. Design cover for JSM.
14. Audition for Naughty and Spice.

February
1. Do layout for poetry book.
2. Do layout for JSM.
3. Work on HTKAH.
4. Finish ARC of Vol II by mid-month.
5. Start work on Vol III.
6. Continue with yoga and meditation/daily devotions.
9. Celebrate Valentine’s in style (ie: Coldstone’s).
10. Complete one knitting or crochet project.

March (1st -- 21st)
1. See dad on or around his birthday.
2. Call sister on her birthday.
3. Do something political for International Women’s Day.

Grown Up Worries:
1. Reduce debt by 5%. - WIP.
2. Complete the shutdown of LunaSeas. - Not done yet, but only one or two little things left to complete.
3. Get HMD products pared down, organized and inventoried. - WIP.

Creative Projects/Fun Stuff:
1. Begin revision of Odinsdatter. - Nothing yet.  I need to be in the right frame of mind to edit this thing and at the moment, I'm not in that mental space.
2. Post regularly to all blogs. - WIP - new posts to all blogs this week.
3. Finish the pile of fairy wands. - Pile still there, untouched.
4. Read at least four books. - Reading my own work as part of the revision process does not count, so no progress.
5. Move writing to another website - I had no intention of doing this until my goddess smacked me in the head yesterday and said "do it".  That was followed by lecture about how sloppy I've gotten lately.  Divine inspiration indeed.   Tongue

Health/Wellness
1. Kick winter depression/SAD's butt by:
    a. Exercising outdoors two hours each week. - WIP.
    b. Nourishing body properly, including vitamins and healthy food. - Went better this week, with the exception of the fried pickles I happily devoured on New Year's eve.
    c. Keep "work" time under 60 hours/week total combined (day job & PT business).  - Success, barely.
    d. Scheduling at least one day completely off each month.  - December accomplished.  Planning a day off for next weekend.
    e. Performing a daily candle ritual or meditation to stay grounded. - WIP.

Spirituality
1. Deal with the mess that is my herb cabinet. - The herb shelves are organized.  I just need to organize the shelves that hold books, cards, and other supplies.
2. Begin converting spirituality-related notebooks/journals into organized blog posts. - Major WIP. Posts are being written, scheduled and posted to the Grey Mists as time permits.

Can someone tell me where 2010 went?   Cheesy

The same place my memory to make some goals for this season went!

This time around, I'm going to try to take an extra-long view, and enumerate some goals I'd like to happen this year, and then carry over each season.

So Aisling, when you do your updates, count the number I have under "Total Goals for Season", as I'll be updating that, rather than the Total Goals for the Year.

Yarnage:
1. Crochet Rogue socks for E.
2. Crochet neckwarmer and hat for myself.
3. Finish my hiking socks.
4. Crochet rainbow socks for myself.
5. Crochet Ariel doll for A.
6. Crochet hat and scarf for D.

Reality:
1. Find a job in Seattle I enjoy.
1a. If this happens, begin planning the relocation.
     1ai. Find an apartment.
1b. Get all my crap from TX to WA safely and moved in!
2. Get new catalytic converter for car.
   2a. Pass emissions test.
2b. Register car and get Washington plates!
3. Get WA driver's license.
4. Get income-based reduced repayment for one year on my student loans.

Books:
1. Finish the Percy Jackson and the Alchemyst series.
2. Read Nature and the Human Soul.
3. Read Foucalt's Pendulum.
4. Read The Baroque Cycle.

Movies:
See: (to be updated as movies come out)
1. TRON:Legacy
2. The King's Speech
3. True Grit
4. Black Swan
5. The Fighter

Journeys:
1. Hike in the Ho Rainforest/the Olympics.
2. Drive to Canada.
3. Hike in the Northern Cascades.
4. Take another road trip when I move my stuff.
5. Visit the East Coast (either Philly or New York) to see friends.
