There is a ingredient in hoodoo called rose water.  It is basically made by infusing rose petals with spring water, though there are different methods.  It is used as an offering, as to make yourself more attractive to the gods, so to speak.  I don't know if this helps, but it may be a place to investigate.

I would check with a florist or, failing that, Wal-Mart. My local Wally World always has bouquets of flowers and often has roses, too.

Wal-mart is called Asda here but they seem to stock pretty much the same stuff. I'll give them a try, thanks
