Quote
The word Tulpa is from the Tibetan language and refers to any entity that attains reality solely by the act of imagination. The entity is created entirely within the confines of ones own mind, not drawn out, written down or even verbally described. If its creator wishes, this "Tulpa Creation" may become physical reality through intense concentration and visualization. However, care must be taken to only bring to reality what is beneficial to the world, lest it's destruction becomes more problematic than its creation.

I recently met a 60 year old witch, who told me about tulpas. There are like man-made spirits fueled by magic and thought, allegedly. Researching the topic, I read something saying that all gods and all spirits are tulpas, I which I believe it's a nice hypothesis, why not?
Does anyone here know any solid information about them? Even better, does anyone know about anyone trying to create a tulpa.

I have encountered a couple of people who created them inadvertently. One young lady was dabbling with dark magic and at an age where she had wildly intense emotions, a lot of anger and frustration and it began to manifest itself as a shadowy entity. She basically created a tulpa or Watcher without any purpose and it scared her. With some guidance and a devoking and cleansing ritual she dissolved it.

The other woman had problems with what she considered an evil spirit. I did a psychic reading for her and noticed that it was an entity of her own creation. A combination of her strong will, frustration, unexpressed rage, personal living chaos and family tension had fueled the creation of this entity. getting her to talk openly with her family, tidy the home and do a sage ritual helped but the entity reemerged when the battle of wills started up again. ( I am only giving personal examples and others might interpret what I am saying differently, however in my years of experience in dealing with the demonic and spiritual I can tell the difference from a spirit energy and a created Watcher energy,)

Why? Do you want to create one?

I've personally concluded that a lot of the (undebunked) poltergeist activity in homes where there are teenagers are probably entities or tulpas born from combinations like the above: huge amounts of energy, very unfocused and wild emotions and dabbling in the occult.

Personally, I would stay far away of any such experimentation.

I think the person who started this got banned or something. But I'm very interested in it. How do I make one? And how do I make to be and stay good?

Well, I noticed that you site yourself as an Atheist. Do you work with any kind of spiritual tradition or ritual? What is your goal? Are you just curious or is there a specific reason that you want to create this?

I just want to qualify that this takes some serious personal and emotional commitment and study.

I should definitely change that. I'm an atheist in a sense I don't believe in an anthropomorphic god.  I would consider myself an agnostic pantheist. I've been practicing magic for about 7-10 years now. And I'm very emotionally stable. This is something I wanted to try out.

How can one make sure they do not unintentionally create a harmful tulpa?

I've done this a few times completely by accident,  maybe though if i share what happened someone can figure out how it happened enough to control the process.

The frist was bound to a coin. I was really stressed about finance and money and began working with an i-ching coin i had gotten years ago. I was enchanting it to draw good fortune and wealth, i was constantly working on it and refining the enchantments on the coin, cleansing and starting form scratch several times. Then things got better, in an unrelated way, and i ended up moving. I swear the coin followed me, it appeared one day recently when i was flat broke it just fell off of me when i got up in the morning. I have no idea where it came form, but it came with a ryme (in my head not like on a pice of paper) "four strokes of luck this coin doth owe. fist is luck to make finance grow, second is luck where romances dwell, third is luck to keep the bad things at bay and fourth is a wish always to stay. When all its gifts the charm has bestowed, let it not linger on your soul, make of it a gift and let fortune flow." Now the luck came and my wish was tied with a bargain to the lady fortuna, but that's a story for another time.

The Second time this happened to me it was sinister. I was young and stupid and wanted a boy who had a lover. I took offense at her and crafted a curse of blood. Not the wisest of moves i know. the curse was left undirected and seal in a vile in a protected box and left outside my wards. after three days the curse seem to have formed an entity of undirected malice and started assaulting my wards form my balcony. Now I was lucky to catch this when it was still new and i could brake the enchantment and disolve the curse before it developed into a full blow poltergeist.

sorry for the wall of text hopefully this helps someone.

Does anyone here know any solid information about them? Even better, does anyone know about anyone trying to create a tulpa.

I've been investigating them a little over the past month or two, though unfortunately a good chunk of the information on the internet just retells the monk story.

First heard about them in a class, thought they were cool, and went on my merry way. Until I was reminded by something else that some poltergeist activity is actually caused by strong emotions and a lot of undirected energy in a household, usually originating with children. Well, it just so happens that I had a very trying 3 years starting when I was about 8 years old involving an abusive step-father in a house that he and my mom had purchased together.

We believed our house to be haunted by the previous owner, an elderly woman. She was a kind presence, though, and didn't often make herself known. But as my mother's marriage began to fall apart and things got a little more violent, the house became scary: I started seeing shadows and hearing things whispered to me at night. Doorknobs would turn on their own, and my mom, who is much more psychically sensitive than me, kept seeing a shadowed man about the property, and he would sometimes harass her.

After they got a divorce, the malevolent entity completely vanished, leaving us with the old woman again. (We sometimes hear her, but I'm not scared of her presence.)

So looking back, I am inclined to believe whatever this shadowy thing was, lurking in the corners of the house, was a tulpa, either unintentionally created by me, or me and my mom, out of fear.

So there you go. I think they're created by people all the time, honestly. Though those who create them deliberately are probably very few and far between. After all, they don't seem to have a particularly good rap; even some of the more benign manifestations, like a child's invisible friend. I think toying with something like that could seriously mess you up.
