Greetings all,

So, once upon a time (way back in 2007), there was a member of The Cauldron called miss_mimic... she did spend many long hours poring over the wisdom of her betters and enjoying the debate, was co-opted into BPAL by a wily Cauldron member, and lo, she did vanish into the ether sometime later (rumour has it she was abducted by ninjas and trained in a secret hideout in the Brisbane hinterland, but these would prove to be unfounded).

But now she arises once more, shades her eyes from the brilliance of the Light that is The Cauldron, and takes a deep breath to speak...

Right enough of that. I find 3rd person talk so tiring! Yes, I was a member way-back-when (looking at the old email in my archives, my first account was activated around the 15th March, 2007... and you let me re-register it! Thank you!), and I dropped off the radar... I'd like to say that I picked up some mad ninja skillz... but I'd be lying.

To be honest, life got in the way and I was in a bad place. But, I'm reconnecting with a few of the places that I have felt at home in, or if not at home, then at least that I have a healthy respect for. And so here I am, mightly glad to see so many names that are familiar to me, though doubtless I am not familiar to them, I was always a huge lurker.

I've had a few sign posts (clue-by-fours, do we still use that term?) over the last month or so telling me to step up my game where my beliefs are concerned, so here I am in a place that I know affirms knowledge, scholarship and no nonsense. I'm glad to be back and hopeful that I can contribute at least something!
