I see they were careful to cut off the heads of the women in the tennis team / cheerleaders / whatever they are using as a picture this time.  I also have to wonder if poor Freya Aswynn knows these folks are linking to her web site (on their contact page).

Mandi,

Just a side note:  Your avatar needs to be a little smaller...  The max width is 100 pixels, and yours is 130ish.  File size is also slightly too big.  (Guidelines are on the Rules board.)

Thanks!

You know, coming from someone who wasn't here for the original Daughters of Frya incident, I'm strangely drawn to that page (even knowing that it's a hoax...or worse). Do you think whoever put up that page could actually know what they are doing (magically) and put some sort of "lure" on it?

If it is what you guys thought it was in it's first incarnation and they did that, well, that's just sick.

I really doubt it. The whole thing was prank that went on for far too long.

Probably. Then it must be that background image. Dangit, does anyone know what that symbol is called? It must be out there somewhere, other than that website.

I've seen it before, but I can't remember where. Maybe it was one of those Pennsylvania Dutch Hex symbols?

To tell you the truth, it reminds me of the "flowers" I used to draw in various math classes using my compass, when I was bored and doodling.  Draw a circle, then keeping the same radius, put the pointy end on the outside of the circle and draw an arc from one side of the circle to the other.  Move the pointy end of the compass to one of the points where the arc hits the circle and repeat.  Continue this until all points have two arcs connected to them, one curving each direction, and you get a circle with a six-petaled flower in it, exactly like that.

I've never seen it as an actual symbol of something until now, as opposed to an "I'm bored in math class" doodle, but that doesn't necessarily mean anything.

That's what I was just looking up! LOL

I get obsessed with images. The last time this happened I ended up with a septagram, which I use on everything now and have been wearing pretty much non-stop for three years. Tongue

ooo, I knew I saw it on a hex symbol. Without the circle, but I know I've seen it in green too.

Ray nailed it.  It looks like a Pennsylvania Dutch design:

It is hard to believe/take that they keep reoccuring.  Some thing never die, they just continue resurface in order to irrate people.
