I've been baffled as to when the changes are since they added three weeks in the spring and one week in the fall to DST in the US a few years ago.

But I believe this is the first year that the earlier start date for DST has been put into effect, and it's freaking me out. It's still winter, but sunset is after 7 PM? That's too much cognitive dissonance for me.

It's been 2 or 3 years -- at least here in Texas. Perhaps New York found some way to opt out for a while?

It's been 2 or 3 years -- at least here in Texas. Perhaps New York found some way to opt out for a while?

That long? I know they passed the change in Congress but delayed its implementation for a while, but I guess it was just a less brutal winter previously, so the contrast between season and sunset wasn't so stark.
