I normally use colored candles. Do you know what their favorite colors were?

One of Elspeth's favorites was blue (a light blue, not a very dark one).

I'm in. I've done this every year since the War Duke's passing; I'm not about to stop now.

I'm in with my silliest hat. Finally in my own house this year so I can burn a candle for the full time.

With the vagaries of my work schedule, I can't do that particular time, but I'll make sure I've got a candle burning for at least an hour (still waiting to see which hour, hooray for Teh Sahck).

Light blue it is then, thanks Randall.

Changing my avi just for today. This is a sketch of Lena that steph did for me a while back as a gift and I put a Carmen San Diego-esque red fedora on her.

I couldn't help myself:

I'm wearing my "red" fedora, Fedora
Not Alice, not Annie, not Casey but Fedora
Fedora is the girl I love
I usually come to town in a battered old hat of brown
But it got red when me and my queen go steppin' around
Fedora is the girl I love

IN REMEMBRANCE OF CHAVI
by Celtee
31 March 2008
In memory of Chavi

The anniversary is come
This day once a year
Our hearts now are heavy
We’ll shed many tears

Chavi Ravenna
Your spirit lives on
Always we remember
Tho two years have gone

Our memories of you
Are now bittersweet
But close to our hearts
We ever shall keep

Chavi Ravenna
Sweet shining star
Always so close
Yet ever so far

Storyteller Cat
Dux Bellorum, War Duke
This day we salute you
And laugh through our tears

WHERE HAVE YOU GONE?
by Elspeth Sapphire

Lifetime companion...
Where have you gone?
I thought that your place was at my side forever,
Your warmth beside me in my bed.
Now I find myself watching for you
Hearing a noise at the door ....
But only finding empty air and memories.
Funny ... it is the things I hated
That I find I miss the most.
I find myself saving tidbits
But how do you feed a spirit?
I remind myself of cycles;
That death is a beginning ...
And never an ending ...
But I am only too aware
I am barren and alone.

Oh, where have you gone?
Is that your touch brushing by?
Or will you live within me ...
Until that day that we meet again.
Oh, lifetime companion....
