We will be attempting a major software update on our web server today. This means The Cauldron's web site and forum will be up and down for unpredictable periods today. Remember you can get important info on server issues from our site on Google' servers at http://www.ecauldron.org/ and we have a backup forum you can post at if the updates take too long (or have issues) at http://ecauldron.smfforfree4.com/index.php.

Chat appears to be broken. Quick ideas for fixed do not seem to work. I'll have to research this some. No ETA on a fix.

You can chat in Cauldron MUX, however. It's working fine. See the Mux link in the blue menubar.

Could you please repost the MUX connection information so that I can put it into my client?  I can't get it from the tab in the menubar because clicking that reliably crashes the heck out of my browser.

Point your MU* client to ecauldron.net 24201

For everyone else, for more info on the MUX (including info on MUX clients), see this page on our web site:

I have found a better Java Mux Client that actually works on our site and installed it in place of the old one. When you go to the "Chat (MUX)" page now, you will see a button, when you press that button, a Java client will open in a new window. This one seems much easier to read and use. You can still read the basic instructions on using the MUX on this page as well.

This one loaded very quickly for me, and is much easier to read. I also learned that navigating off the page will close the pop-up window. Thanks for providing an alternative so quickly!

So would I have to create a new account to log on?  Also would I show up as staff as I did in flashchat?

Did you ever have a MUX account, Mel?

Sigh. I was hoping it would not do that.

No, and it wasn't until after posting this that I even remembered we had a board dedicated to MUX.
