I just had one of those moments where things clicked together.

I have been interested in FlameKeeping for a while. Years longer than it took me to actually decide I was a FlameKeeper. The thing I struggled with was the pantheism bit. The idea that everything is Divine. I liked the idea, I just didn't get it. I couldn't wrap my head around it. Though not raised particularly religious I still came from the Christian ideology that divinity equals godhood and I didn't see how a chair could be divine. Eventually I just decided to go with it, accept it, and move on to the things that actually mattered.

So just now I was reading through the FlameKeeping book and taking notes and writing down thoughts. (Yes, Shad, I am still slowly reading.) I was reading the essay "We Are Divine". I wrote down "I am divine, you are divine, everyone is divine." Then it hit me, WHY everyone is divine. Everyone (and everything) is divine because we all have the power to change the Universe. For good or ill. The chair I'm sitting on changed the Universe when it was manufactured, during it's life, and will when it is eventually disposed of. We are divine because we have power, we have ability.

So yeah, how long did it take for that to get through my thick skull?  Roll Eyes

Well, it IS the Mystery of FlameKeeping.  It's not hidden - it's just that you have to experience it or you don't really get it.

That said - COOL! Smiley
