So, I have this tradition of offering food to Hekate during Dark Moon -i used to do Hekate's Suppers the classic way, but it's been impratical with me having no car and living in a small town.

When i noticed i had accidentally missed last one, i felt mortified like i had forgotten someone's birthday and i asked the goddess, via Oracle cards as we often 'converse' through that, if she would like something in particular so i could make up to Her. I received an answer along the lines of 'tend to your garden and take care of its fruits'.

I assumed it meant i had focus on a personal project She encouraged me in past, and i've been slacking about in those last few days.

But...this night, i had the strangest, vivid dream ever with cookies of every shape and kind possible sprouting all around me, and me eating them. It amused me, but i didn't give any particular significance to it. Browsing over internet during the course of the day, i found what it seemed a pretty easy cookie recipe and i remembered it was long time since i did any handmade cookies. Thinking back to the dream, i considered it could be fun to play with the original recipe adding some lavander and cinnamon to imitate my favorite recipe.

To make a short story shorter, i baked and it didn't make any kind of blessing on the cookie dough but... when i finally tasted the result of my labour, although cookies were far too sweet for my personal taste... i started feeling all glowy and happy, the way i occasionally feel after working a spell. For a moment i truly thought i was experiencing sugar high, because it was really an unusual thing but... retesting the cookies a couple of hours later, i had the same feeling crawling over me. Weird, honestly, because i did not like the new recipe that much.

I'm having a bit of difficulty to process the fact that Hekate possibly had a craving for cookies but i'm going to offer some anyway - it can't hurt, even if this ends being some strange byproduct of my imagination.

Yet, the episode got me thinking - have you ever experienced something similiar?  I'm referring to peculiar requests or responses coming from above, and how did you recognize this was the real deal?

All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another. ~ Anatole France
