So, does this mean that all of the threads on the "archive" forum will be locked after the new forum starts? 

I had assumed that this was the case, but then a friend asked me about it and I thought I'd verify to make sure. 

 

Yes.  This forum will become a "read only" archive forum.  Of course, certain threads will undoubtedly be restarted...

Yes. The threads on this board will effectively be closed and no one will be able to register. Current members will be able to log in, but not able to post. As this requires setup time on my part, this board will probably be closed for a few days after the new board official opens to the general public this weekend (sometime this weekend).
