I was chatting with a friend of mine just now. He's from Egypt, and has offered city tours and such if and when I make it that way. He knows I have a big thing for Egyptian history, but he doesn't know the interest is of a religious nature. He's visiting the Netherlands soon, so we were talking about that - I offered a place to stay, checked about halal requirements, offered rides to go see other friends of ours that he knows as well... Because I like this guy and having nice people coming over is like a little party to me. So we end up with the following conversation:

Quote
chabas: Or, if you're really lucky, I can borrow my mom's car and play driver
M: O.O
M: you're really being nice
chabas: I LOVE this stuff
chabas: Seriously.
chabas: I like having guests, and making people nice meals and all that
M: wow, you're a typical egyptian this way

There you have it. Not only do I follow the Egyptian Gods, I'm actually a typical Egyptian!

Of course, I couldn't really tell him how meaningful that statement was.

Hey, that's cool, Chabas! Smiley Way to go... (and I bet your deities are strutting up there, saying, "Hey we did good with this one...)

Cheesy
