As I trawled through the Colonial Williamsburg site in the first time in ages, I saw this and knew that both the foodies and history geeks here would love it:

Basically, it's modernized versions of authentic Eighteenth Century recipes.  They show both versions on the page.
Shocked Saved, saved and saved! That is an awesome site. I love to cook and I am a history freak, so it's perfect! Thanks for sharing it.
