I feel bad just calling myself a Pagan...but at the same time I can't decide. Is there any spell I can do to help guide me or any list of all the different types of pagan paths? Should I choose something that's in my ancestery, something I relate to, or something I just plain like? Thanks, I just feel like other pagans look down at me for not yet deciding what exactly I am.

You might start at our Pagan Primer here: http://www.ecauldron.net/newpagan.php

Some of us are still trying to figure out what we are (besides insane  Wink ) after many years. My advice is to not rush it-take your time looking around at what's out there and reading.

Good luck!

I ditto this advice. Take it slow, it took me 20 years of searching and practicing until I found the path that's right for me.

Read a lot, follow up on anything that peaks your interests, say hello to Deities you like (a candle, incense and a sincere hi are just fine) and read as much as you can in these forums as almost every possible path is represented here. If you're happy in your current practice - even if it's nameless and eclectic/personal - why change just to get a label?
In short, take your time, there's no need to hurry and enjoy whatever you decide to do.

You do not have to call yourself anything, pagan is just fine, if people look down on you because of that just ignore them.

I wouldn't worry to much about it. It's not like you need to make a decision in a set time or something. For me becoming a Pagan, was a 5 years journey, so don't think you need to pick something right aways. Find some paths that seem interesting to you, or your drawn to, and then start reading and looking into it. Take your time and relax, and no one looks down on you, at least I dont, because I know how hard it can be, make these decisions.

I second that. Read about different paths, try to find some information about the different pantheons or individual gods and goddesses that you've always had an interest in. I even read childrens' books on the Norse myths when I felt interested in Thor because those books are more easily accessible when you're just trying to see whether something calls to you.
You might also want to check out some books on historical periods, like Ancient Greece, in case the reconstructionist path is of interest to you.

Other than that, take your time. Meditate on it. And don't rush anything because you feel you need a label. There are enough people out there who are perfectly happy without one.

Research. Read. Think about it. Decide what you want from your spiritual path and what you can do to get there. You get out of your spirituality what you put in, like so much else in life.

You could try a prayer.  Don't direct it at anyone in particular, just open your heart and ask for guidance from whatever is out there.  This is how I was initiated, and while you may not have as dramatic an experience as I did it should lead to some sort of guidance.

I think the pattern is clear, take your time and try many ways.  Become involved in all sorts of activities and groups.  Search for public events near you and talk to people at these events.  I have gone on many paths but after 25 years several groups and covens I have found the one that I had been searching for all along.

Try some divination, like Pendulum work, and ask questions. Or ask for a dream or signs for your path. Do what feels right for you.
don't worry about other pagans, most of us are friendly and open. Most of us have probably taken a long time to get where we are.
Also, you can always change your mind if later in life you decide that it isn't working anymore...
