*wonders if there is a hidden code  in a signature?Huh *

just a suggestion but I would  be checking  codes  for  signatures and /or  any  links  in  profiles to  favorite/members  home  boards......

I'd have to manually go through the database for 3000+ people. Also to be sure i would have to check each address to be sure it wasn't hijacked and doing a 301 type redirect which most search sites interpret as a direct link to the redirected site.

I suppose I could just check the last 3 or 4 months worth of members.

I think if it's in there  it will most likely be found  starting there......

Just had to do that. Also screwed up in Safari.  Angry

I've had to do that too, on FF 3.6.17. On Chrome it was impossible to bypass. Ignoring the warning took me to a basic HTML version of the page, and it only worked for two clicks - third one locked me out permanently.

I wonder how long until the threat level times out...

Randall,

a few thoughts:

1) maybe if you contact Google, they can give more specific information of the specific pages that are giving problems so you have a place to start

2) a few hours ago, Google still reported they hadn't found anything (see FierFlye's screen of the diagnostic report). Whatever it is, it's something that changed in the last few hours - again, a way to narrow things down

3) can't we just somehow block the domain they list as the host through a filter of some kind as a quick and dirty solution? I'm thinking along the lines of filters used to block scripts or even simple profanity filters.

And from my end: Things worked fine a few hours ago, getting the warnings as well now. I note that when I compare the diagnostics tet to what FierFlye posted, it has changed:

Note that they do say they're finding malware.

This is weird as the page I see says they haven't. Anyhow, I'm search for any reference to rockstar1 dot vv dot cc now.  I'm alsio modifying the post where this is mentioned.

And it's just happened to me in Safari. Weird, because I was looking through this site for a good thirty minutes before I got the warning.

I think Safari has a delay of some sort in catching on to this - I could use safari without a problem when I posted earlier this evening, now I'm getting blocked in Safari as well.

I did the same as Jennett, and have the same reaction: I'd rather not go long-term with that protection disabled, because of all the OTHER searches I do on a daily basis.

This is a PITA, to be blunt. I'm sorry someone's vindictive streak (as I'm pretty sure we're all having the same reaction for the same reason, here) has caused you to have to go to all the trouble to figure out just who did what and where.

Ugh.

This is what I am seeing now, 5 pages with 'malicious software', all from rockstar1: http://screencast.com/t/K0N3BrbIC

It appears that vv.cc is a free hosting site where you can get a free domain, here is a blog talking about it: http://blog.110mb.com/how-to-get-a-free-domain-name/

And, if you go to their site you can see who rockstar1 is! *insert trumpets*

Rockstar1 is from Moscow.

Rockstar1 is from Moscow.

I have reported them to vv.cc, including the screenshots from Google saying their site is causing trouble. Vv.cc says they review and remove problem sites within three days.

Me too, just updated the whole f***ing thing.
Now Chrome also gives me the warning, but I can override it.

Yeah, chrome was "warning" me too, so I told hubby.... And he said not to worry about it and proceed anyway...After waiting ALL DAY!  I missed you TC!  I may not post that much but I love to browse!
