I was wondering what happened with the site. Was it a third party attack?

I was wondering what happened with the site. Was it a third party attack?

Actually, it turned out to be a third party ad served by Javascript. Their ad server apparently got hacked and the javascript code altered to include an iframe loading this rockstar1 site.  It took so long to find because Google at first was not giving me any pages, just a mention of the reckstar1 site. So I had to go through about 10,000 files looking for it and when I did not see it there had started looking though the database of it in case someone had put it in a sig or something. When -- hours later -- Google finally listed a few specific pages with the problem I was able to ask Google to show me the HTML Googlebot sees.  There I could see the iframe and see it was in an ad.  I notified the people serving the ad and removed the ad from about 100 pages on our site. Then I notified Google that the site had be cleaned up and by Monday morning Google had apparently rechecked the site and listed it as clean again. I've since heard from the folks serving the ad apologizing for the problem and promising not to put their ads back up until they find out how their server was hacked.

In case anyone else has the same problem I did:

I turned the option to block reported attack sites back on just now, and when I reloaded the page, it still gave me the red page of doom.  After clearing the cache (which, incidentally crashed my browser because I'd let it get over 1G, oops) I was able to load the site just fine with security back on.  Yay!
