LOL. I doubt Waco is prepared for one either. However, I don't think I'll worry much about it.

Actually--IMO, that was a brilliant move by the CDC to get people to notice what's really the normal, garden-variety disaster-preparedness information. Their site crashed within hours of it going up. Whether that meant people really saw what they needed to see, or not, I don't know--but I still think it was a great move on their part. So says the public-health-information geek portion of my consciousness.

I'd expect the rest of Texas is prepared though.

I think it's hilarious.  I just can't help linking to it whenever it's remotely appropriate.

I wish I had the interview with the CDC official who made the call to put that site up at hand, because he said as much to the interviewer. I'll poke around and see if I can dig it out from wherever it's hiding (probably somewhere on my Kindle).

Education doesn't HAVE to be boring. :-)

The average city block in Texas is well-enough armed that any thinking zombie would attack another state. But a government plan for it? Nah.

I didn't say it would be the Govt who was prepared. Grin

There's a local convention here (Seattle area) called ZomBcon and before the CDC thing the dude behind the con posted on Facebook that the CDC called him out of the blue. Apparently they liaised a bit. The con has had guests like Harvard physicians and neurologists to discuss the physical potential etc for Zombies. I imagine the CDC was trying to get to the meat of the experts without wasting time. Go CDC go! Cheesy

LOL well, the guy down the street is prepared for when the zombies attack, he even has a flame thrower.  No clue how he got it, but he does.  He's son is a friend of my daughter.  He should her it.  Said he's dad is all set up for when they attack.  I think we have a standing invite to hid there when it happens.
