Long story short, and pardon the TMI, I'm pissing what smells like hawaiian punch concentrate. I'm sweating it, my mouth tastes like it, I smell like a bowl of corn pops. Sugar Coated. This has happened a couple times in the last couple weeks, but usually in conjunction with the meds.
I am diabetic, and that happens to me when my sugar 'spikes'. It tends to happen occasionally even when I'm good on my meds. It seems to be random, and I don't bother going to the hospital now, I just surround myself with (weirdness alert) lilacs in season or lilac oil out of season.
It might be stupid or self-neglectful, but all the times I've gone to the hospital they just put me in overnight for observation, and discharge me in the morning. I suppose it's a coma-watch, but except for dizziness and tiredness in these episodes I've never come close to coma.
The lilac thing was because of my grandfather, who was a medicine worker. I've since found out that the most common diabetic pill is developed from lilacs (french lilacs - I don't know what kind you may have there) but it could be just psychological, too.
If you start greying out or forgetting how to talk properly, skip your doctor entirely and go to emerge. My mother is the opposite of diabetic - sweets make her drop unholy amounts of weight and have trouble concentrating. Lilacs work for her, too, but she has been hospitalized and fed bread, basically. I know you can't eat bread, but that is what made me think of my mom. She needs it in her diet to keep her sugar up, and nothing else will really do it as efficiently.
No medical science here, just similar experience. You have much the same genetic background as me and my mom, so maybe you could find a bread-substitute or some lilac oil for sniffing. Or monitor your speech and vision and get thee to an emergency room at the right time for tests to show what's going on.
