My mother says "holy cow!"  And no, she's not Hindu.  Cheesy

LOL. My mom says "Ye gods and little fishies!". I have no idea where she picked it up. Huh

"i am not an angry girl, but it seems like i've got everyone fooled -- every time i say something they find hard to hear they chalk it up to my anger and never to their own fear. and imagine you're a girl, just trying to finally come clean, knowing full well they'd prefer you were dirty and smiling."

I say almost that - "Ye gods and little fishes", and I got it from reading Trixie Belden mysteries.  It tickled my sense of whimsy when I was preteen/early teen (and still does), so I cultivated it.

That's where it's from?!?! Oh thank you!  I never could remember where I picked that phrase up from, but I loved Trixie Belden so that must be it.

Mine tends to be Jesu Babino or Mary Mother of God - and I'm neither Catholic nor spanish speaking.  I've *got* to cure myself of those two.
