So tell us about your avatar!

My avatar is a detail from Hieronymous Bosch's Garden of Earthly Delights. He's one of my favorite Renaissance artists, largely because his paintings are so otherwordly - and not in a fanciful way. I mean in a disturbing, fevered dream kind of a way.  Cheesy

It might change to something funnier soon.

The "lolgods" tweak you did to it is plenty funny for my funnybone - I noticed it earlier, had a good laugh, and am very pleased to have such an appropriate opportunity to comment on it.

Hey, I just realized, that sort of makes us Cauldronites her honorary aunts and uncles!  If you don't mind, of course.

Heh, I laughed out loud when I saw it too. Grin The really funny part is that I want to pretend that I'm making fun of fluffy cultural appropriators, but then I hang my head and realize that I do it too. LOL

Not at all.  She has an enormous extended fambly. Wink

My mother replied to the birth announcement email with "Thanks for the photos." Cheesy I don't think she can wrap her brain around it.

And I have so been looking forward to this avatar change!

If I could GET more photos from the breeder, I would.  She is going through her usual non-communicative phase. Roll Eyes

Not anymore!  This my equine daughter, born five past midnight, Friday, July 13th, 2007.  She is 1/4 each Friesian, Polish Arabian, American Saddlebred, and Dutch Warmblood. Smiley

She's beautiful, Warhorse!
Birth always amazes me. We've had a number of them here lately. however, they were ungulate, not equine. Still amazing, though!

Can we make naming suggestions? The obvious and cool sounding name would be Five Past Midnight, but Jinx or Hijinx, based on the Friday the 13th factor, would work too. Or are horses always named with a combination/variation of the names of the parents?

Parent names - we want this one to start with an "I."

Just out of courtesy, I would prefer this discussion move to the birth announcement thread, rather than hijack the avatar thread. Smiley

So tell us about your avatar!

Hopping on the bandwagon a little late, but I've been MIA a bit, so...

Mine is a self portrait I drew a little while ago. (You can see the original large version here.) It's pretty much what I look like, although my awesome rocker mullet has gotten a little shaggier. I wanted to use some of my own artwork because, well. What's the point in drawing if you can't whore yourself out on forums?

Link doesn't work - I'm not sure if it's the repetition of the h t t p, or the quote marks.  Here is a corrected one.
