I like the idea.  But then I think, what will certain elements of the government/corportation complex think of it?  Is it likely to be declared inviolation of some trade agreement?

Y'know, Ash, sometimes I think I'm terribly cynical/realistic...then you make a post.   Cheesy  Apparently the Man hasn't beat me down as much as I'd thought, because that hadn't even occured to me.

But now that you mention it, I wouldn't be at all surprised.

Speaking of labels and China: one of our bigger quality mark companies for electronics is moving to China, particularly since there is so much cheap stuff coming westwards from there, and people wants some safety guarantee. The company (and their mark) is called KEMA - they've got a good reputation here, and have pulled out of countries where they felt corruption wasn't avoidable.

We've worked with KEMA on some of our product testing. They do have a good reputation. Smiley

I doubt it. I don't see canidates from one party or the other opposing such labeling rules.

The canidates that do oppose it would be ones more beholden, or have regions dominated by, agribusiness concerns.

You have no idea how close I came, in the earlier post, to saying to you:  "But don't worry - you're clearly well on your way."

John Edwards has come out for labeling......but if it actually goes anywhere, well, that's another story.

It's a veggie-based snack food.  IIRC the shape and texture are something like cheese puffs, only (theoretically at least) healthier for you.
