Hello!

I am new.  I am also in the closet still, as I am uncommitted to any one faith.

I was raised Catholic, and my on-going joke is that I am a refugee from the Catholic Church.

I lost interest when I was 10 and officially walked away the day I was confirmed.

Since then, I have been drawn to Wicca and other Pagan belief systems.  They make more sense to me.  But I feel, from my Catholic background, that I may be incapable to actually commit to any form of ritual due to my negative memories of religion.

I am Celtic descent.  I read tarot cards.  I have some psychic moments where I can't explain how I know something, but I do.  I have worked with crystals and herbs.  But my main interest is food...I am a food writer.  So, here is where my focus is.

I hope I can learn a lot here, and it is nice to meet you.

~Dont believe in anything simply because you have heard it, simply because it's spoken and rumored by many, simply because it is found written in your religious books, in anything merely on the authority of your teachers and elders, in traditions becuase they have been handed down for many generations. But after careful observation and analysis, when you find that anything agrees with reason and is conductive to the good and benefit of one and all, then accept it and live up to it.~*~Buddha~*~

Hello!

I am new.  I also was raised Catholic, and drifted as I got older and was able to form my own beliefs.  I to have some psychic abilities (precognition) that always made me feel different. Until one year ago I never understood why I had such a facination with nature, the smell of freshly cut grass, the forrest, snow on the trees, just being among these things makes me feel at ease, peaceful, grounded something that I don't feel alot. I am of Creole desent, which sometimes I think explains a lot. So welcome and like you:
I hope I can learn a lot here, and it is nice to meet you.
