That's cool!  what a sweet cat, being there for them to comfort them like that Smiley  Animals are very sensitive with things like that.  What is really cool is a human being actually figured it out! LOL

My mother's cat always knows when her blood sugar is out of whack, and stays away from her.  She checks her breath.  So if she is avoiding my mother, I check my mother's blood sugar.  OTOH if my mother is feeling sick for potassium reasons, Smokey Jo stays right with her.  That way we can tell it is because she is dumping potassium, not because her blood sugar is weird.   Of course, we still check her blood sugar to be on the safe side Wink

It would be very interesting to find out what clues this cat in.

I guess this is a good time to post this. Apparently I Can Haz Cheezburger got innundated with pictures of this cat, so they turned him into a LOLCat

It's ironic...our "local" (from about 80 miles away) paper had a story on Oscar today and yet, I read about him here first. Also, the CBS Evening News ran a story on him tonight.

I've seen a lot of animals do really surprising things, so this doesn't surprise me at all.
