Heh, I've gotta ask; why?

The person she gives it to is really annoying, up themselves, and puts other people down a fair bit.  You may want to watch the UK version.  The characters may be less likeable, but the funny parts are quite sharp. Cheesy  (the final episode is by far the funniest.  I may have to watch the series again.  Damn.)

I'll have to get up the time/money to finish the US version first, but yeh, I've meant to for awhile, now.  Cheesy

The UK version should be easier on your pocket.  Only one season to buy, in one box.  Ok, there was a 'series 2' two-parter, but I really wouldn't bother. Smiley

Well, it's kinda like Forever Knight.  I do want to see the European version someday, but the one I first fell in love with was the US/Canadian version, so wanna see all of those before I risk adulterating my memories.

The difference being that the US version has a few minutes cut out from the Canadian version (to accomadate our higher number of commercials), though they're essentially the same, whereas the Euro version has some nudity and sex scenes, from what I understand.  And while Geraint Wyn Davies was pretty hot back then (poor guy hasn't aged terribly well, or else the photographer who did the shot in that link should be fired), sometimes seeing sexy men completely naked sucks the fun out of it.  Sort of an expanded version of the Theiss Theory of Titillation. Cheesy
