I've been sort of halfway following this just because it's so bizarre.

US minister asks followers to pray for deaths of those questioning backing of Republican

Little Rock, USA - A minister who endorsed Republican Mike Huckabee's presidential bid is asking his followers to pray for the deaths of those who are challenging his church's tax-exempt status because of the political statement.

Oh geesh! I wonder if this is the same preacher that was having baptisms at Wild River Country a couple of years ago.  (that is a water park btw  Roll Eyes )  it was a church connected to Huckabee too I believe.

LOL I guess!  I didnt go you understand  Grin  I just heard about it from this sleazy neighbor of my mother's who was going to be baptized.  I just looked at him so funny when he said that he was going to be baptized at a water park, and that the church had reserved it for the entire evening, for a fun day?!

I understand the fun day thing, but the baptisms just kind of threw me!  Not sure if this is the same preacher mind you, but easily could be.

Wrong on so many levels.  I mean, there's the ethical thing, which doesn't really need to be pointed out.

But if God wanted to kill the guys, would He really need to wait til He was asked?

Somehow that always seems to get left out of the equation.

maybe they think that God hasn't done it already 'cause it's rude to smite unasked?

there's a certain courtesy in these things, y'know. Cheesy

From the article: Little Rock, USA - A minister who endorsed Republican Mike Huckabee's presidential bid is asking his followers to pray for the deaths of those who are challenging his church's tax-exempt status because of the political statement.

Thus demonstrating clearly that some fundie ministers have apparently secretly had Satan substituted for Jesus in their beliefs. Sad

A god that has to wait to kill people isn't a god worth worshipping in my book. Cheesy
