Long promised but slowly realized, my poetry.

Quote
Softly,
a cool shower
mutes the world around him.
His vacant eyes wander dreamily
as a warm muzzle presses into his back.

Softly,
a breeze enters
the damp barn aisle.
Drops on leaves applaud,
and rivulets course through the gravel.

He kneels, waiting for the shower to end,
ride to begin; a warm breath
on his neck hair
tickles him,
softly.

Eyes drowsy, they wait, ever patient.
A cool shower, a damp breeze,
and two warm hearts,
beat in unison -
softly.

That line actually came from many moons previous, when I was working in Florida, and a shower arrived without expectation.

There is more, but not much, as I do not work at poetry anymore, but prose.  So I will parse them out, like drugs to an addict. Tongue

And like an addict, I shall do everything I can for more!  Cheesy
