I listen to Apocalyptica and Nightwish.

I've been keeping out of this thread, but I like Nightwish...and adore Apocalyptica.  I really like Hope - both versions. Smiley

What does anybody else have?

Music's right up there with breathing in my book, so I listen to just about everything.

On the disc changer right now... The Crüxshadows, VNV Nation, Apoptygma Berzerk, She Wants Revenge, and Emilie Autumn.  It's just that kind of afternoon.  Cool

I think I have only one version? I think it features a different artist, as my friend said that Apocalyptica (if I have this right) usually doesn't have people singing in their songs. But this one did.

I enjoy listening to classical music, opera, and classical crossover. Andrea bocelli, Pavarotti, Lesleyt Garrett, Katherine Jenkins.

But music that i love is folk/ celtic and world. I adore Loreena Mckennitt so much. Not just her music, but her way of living, she is so humble and "anti-celebrity" Grin
I also like enya, and any meditation music, including nature recordings.

That'd be Matthias, of Farmerboys I believe.  The video is on You Tube.  (and he's pretty Cheesy )

I love Andrea Bocelli Grin  What a beautiful voice!  I like his and Sarah Brightman's version of Con Te Partiro (Time To Say Goodbye).  Their voices work so well together.

I also like his and Bryn Terfel's version of the Pearl Fishers Duet, another two that are so compatible Smiley

I missed her the last time she came to England, because hadn't really heard of her until then. But ive brought her 2 live CD's/DVD and I think she is amazing.

What does anybody else have?

I'm fond of all sorts of music, but over the years I have developed a special obsession with Pagan, pagan-influenced, and occult music. It all began when I discovered bands like The Moors and Rhea's Obsession when I was hosting a goth-oriented radio program. Now I do a weekly podcast devoted to the topic.

Some of my favorite bands that I feel fall under this category are Daemonia Nymphe, The Moon and The Nightspirit, Omnia, Faun, Unto Ashes (their cover of "The Witches' Rune" is fantastic), Ataraxia, Sumerland, Incus, and several others (it goes without saying that "The Wicker Man Soundtrack" holds a special place in my heart). Also, anyone who appreciates any of these bands should check out Monica Richards' (of the band Faith and the Muse) solo album "InfraWarrior", you won't be disappointed.

Of course that isn't all I listen to. I recently picked up the new Interpol and Bjork CDs, and the "John Barleycorn Reborn" compilation of dark folk music is just great.

Ooooooh. When I get download capability again, I know what I'm getting. (Currently no 'Net access at home.)

Friends who were in England over the summer brought me back the compilation collection on sale at the Witchcraft Museum at Boscastle: it has a couple of overlaps with the above, but focuses on the esoteric/magical songs. (And had several I hadn't heard, or versions I hadn't heard, which made me very happy.)
