Thought some of you might want an update.  Here's where I am after one workshop (10 people showed up--pretty cool!) and lots of work on my own.  Windows are going in (more windows = less cob = good) and I finally found a full-length glass door...for free.  Craig's List has been so good to me.  Smiley

Anyway, here are a couple of pics:

It looks great! I had a look at the bench and I can just imagine the cottage once it is done, lovely!

Not sure I understand the question, but if you're asking if it's glass, then yup.  Smiley  It's a quarter-inch thick tempered tabletop that I scrounged.  Gigantic PITA to install.  The square window needed much less support.  It should look really neat when it's all finished, though.

The footprint is around 150 square feet, but the interior comes to about 113.

That's going to take a lot of cob. I can see why you are happy for the windows.  Wink

If I weren't doing this mostly on my own, I'd have built the whole north side with bales.  Unfortunately, the Monsoons approach, I don't yet have a roof, and straw gets moldy mighty fast.  <sigh>

And ya know, if you think it's going too slowly, you could always haul your ass over the mountains and HELP ME.  Wink

Well, yes, I could.  But it's more fun from her. Wink

I was over that side of the mountains the first 3 weekends of August - but it was work not play (well some play - selling at the Gig Harbor Ren Faire).  And I think I'm just getting over the tired of all that (getting home at 3 am and going to work the next day sucks!)

Geez, if I didn't know better I'd say I was drunk when I wrote that, but I wasn't - Honest  Embarrassed

The thought in my head was - Is that round window a glass table top? Of course, you somehow managed to decipher that and answer it.

I know I shouldn't give you the "you never call" speech...but you never call!  Wink  Seriously, you know I'm always good for a home-cooked meal and a brew.

I know - but we were running.  Get off work, drive to Gig Harbor, work all weekend, drive home Sunday night.  Stopping wasn't going to fit into that schedule!

Maybe when things lsow down before the pass gets bad....but you could come to Spokane too!
