So how was everyones Mabon (the Equinox)? What did you do to celebrate? Did you go to any gatherings?

I spent they day with a lot of time outside, and did some skateboarding on my back porch, just to be with the trees and life. Then last night I had a pretty simple ceremony, just cast a Circle, prayed and meditated. All in all, it was a good day! Grin

(NOTE: I live in China right now, so the time might be a whole lot off for me compared to you, so if Mabon hasn't finished yet for you... I dunno, tell me what you plan on doing!)

Well, I rented Troy (Mmm.. Orlando Bloom) and watched it with my boyfriend, and tonight I shared some of my vodka cooler with Dionysos, lit a candle, offered some grapes... and.. then chickened out. ... I have issues with talking to people/Gods. :x

Tomorrow I want to go out walking and enjoy nature. Smiley

I celebrated the equinox by going to an annual craft fair in my area called the Pumpkin Fest with my mom, and officially started my Winter shopping.

I did a healing spell for a stretch of land where somebody really vandalized the trees and bushes down.
It felt very hurt there. I walk the dog there almost daily and just couldn't stand the destruction.
So this was my Mabon-'Ritual'  Wink

Awww... sad to hear about the bushes. I don't understand natural vandalism. Architectural vandalism, sure, I can understand that, but not particularly natural. What could you have against some vegetation?

Besides of course those huge weeds with the purple flowers and giant thorns. I hate those things so much, they should all burn D<

Well, I cleaned my room from top to bottom. [omg, the dust! The dust!] I’m currently very sore from clambering all over the place. Then I called the elements, recited my Hecate greeting, and offered her some bread, wine, and chocolate. Then I welcomed autumn to the land and thanked the earth for her continued support. And then I drank the rest of the wine, nearly fell asleep in the bathtub, and passed out in bed. Not too bad for my first official Pagan holiday but I wish I had done the cleaning on Saturday instead. I wouldn’t have been so tired then.  Roll Eyes

I went to my first and last baseball game of the season with my dh and kids...I always forget how much fun it is to *go to games, b/c watching it on tv is such a crashing bore.

My daughter and I went out on the back porch after a lovely, harvest-y dinner and turned the Wheel (a pretty celtic knot tree plaque we have hanging out there)

I changed my altar for the fall.

Meant to do some ritual work after everyone went to bed, but was too tired Sad

I don't generally celebrate Mabon, but I was invited to a friend's house on Saturday.  They were celebrating the Equinox and their daughter's first blood.  I had a lovely time.  Smiley

I'll agree with the second part, but I always found it 100x worse to actually go to the game, half the time nothing is happening! xD

Sounds pretty fun Cheesy

Now was the passing out from exhaustion, or too much wine? Wink

And yeah, this was the first 'Pagan' holiday I've seriously celebrated with any ritual as well, it was fun.

Oh, no, something's always happening, you just have to happen to be looking in the right place.  You might catch your left fielder sneaking behind the scoreboard to relieve himself between at-bats.  Cheesy

oh no, I was at a real live MLB game, not some single A deal. It was a San Francisco Giants/ Cincinnati Reds game. Pac Bell Park is loads of fun, and the food is terrific, although the prices are super tourist-oriented.

Hysterical! I have never observed more than scratching and clutching at a real ball game, myself.

The holiday was great. We (my coven) did a Kali in the Kitchen ceremony. http://witches.meetup.com/1384/photos/
We all had a great time and, as always, feasted well. One of our group went into labor during the ceremony....it was a cool night.
