And if that happens they will learn their lesson when the Dems win.

I think they have already figured that out; but with the RRR so much in control of the party, there isn't much they can do about it at this point

I read somewhere that the RRR was now a lot like a driver's ed teacher: They don't have the steering wheel anymore, but they have the brake pedal

It's not enough for U.S. Republican presidential candidates to be conservatives. They've got to be bigger and better conservatives to win the hearts of right-wing America.

Thank the Gods I live in a state where the GOP candidate for Senate got 9% of the vote in the last election...and wasn't endorsed by the state's Republican governor. He uttered all the proper Christian Right and Neoconservative talking points, and was met with a combination of silence and groans by the audience. He moved to Florida shortly after the election.

Some people like to trash New England, but I was never more proud to live here.

**sigh** You should live in Texas.

Our junior senator must have just learned how to read the polls showing him in danger territory. Even for a Republican, Cornyn, is a truly sad piece of work. He's decided now is a good time to start having a newsletter and responding to emails people send his office. Amazing. It's only taken him 5 years to figure it out.
