I heard about the earthquake, and while not big, it did do some damage.

It was centered about 50 miles south of us...we felt it, but we are at the top of a hill made of granite and serpentine, and nothing even fell over. got a bit of a shake, the sliding door in the kitchen was the most exciting thing to see. I was quite relieved, b/c our house is basically a hundred year old shack (ahem...cottage) and I was kinda worried about earthquakes when we were doing the inspection before we bought it. Inspector was right, though, looks like.
