Also, everything is at my website, www.flamekeeping.org
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the posts on this topic and am captivated by the "mindset" regarding Flamekeeping.

I do not question others beliefs in dieties, but I have a difficult time thinking of them as anything other than anthropomorphical constructs used to explain the cosmos and regulate society. I know it is a bias I have. I have a daughter who is Pagan and believing in dieties is like breathing air for her. She doesnt think about it. For her, it just is.

I envy that. I have talked to others. I have read extensively. I have spent alot of time contmeplating dieties. I have no doubts dieties exist for others...just not for me.

I do not question the existence of the Divine, and though it is for me a late concept, I am very comfortable with the Goddess. It is the other Gods and Goddesses I struggle with. I have read the posts here and on your website and have found your writings about Flamekeeping simple, yet elegant....the greatest form of teaching.

You have helped me and I feel walls crumbling. Thank you.

I would like to add, and another has commented on it, the links on the contents page do not work. I tried the first five bullets and then some at randon and did not find any that worked. The archives appear fine.

If you get a chance, I, and I bet others too, would appreciate using those as they appear to offer additonal background and depth regarding Flamekeeping.

You have a great gift and talent. Again, thanks for sharing.

I have your website set as one of the homepages on my browser. Along with The Cauldron, of course.

I read a few essays each day. One of the first I read was posted on 4-29-07 and their is a line, "If the mindset is there, everything else follows." I hope you dont mind me quoting you here.

That line resonates with me. I thoroughly enjoy "mindset." I read that line and it was weird, because I was thinking, "Of course the mindset must be there, you already know that!" I did know that, it had just never clicked.

I have been deluding myself. I havent been looking for a relgion or a system of beliefs. I have been looking for a mindset. And its not only a mindset for understanding the Universe, but my relation to others in the Universe.

Mindset. Who knew....I guess you did. Smiley

*grins* well, then, I guess you've figured it out!

It's one of those Mysteries, I guess - if you get it, you get it.  And if you don't, well - then I guess FlameKeeping isn't right for you. Cheesy

and yes, I adore offers of chocolate and babysitting. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

Let me see if I understand Flamekeeping correctly.

1. Achieve the right mindset.
2. Keep the flame.
3. Get a child.

Oh, and chocolate fits in there somewhere.

Did I miss anything? Smiley

According to some people you just did something good for the universe LOLOL

You never want to hand your child over to a guy who has four kids and started having them at 20 - there fore having knowledge of every DUMB thing you can do in trying to keep a kid happy. (if that makes any sense AT ALL)
