I think it's odd that Egyptian symbols would appear on the seal of a Hebrew queen that was originally from Phoenicia.

Ii had the same thought. The article didn't say if that was uncommon...but it left me wondering. Huh

I watched a fascinating documentary on the Phoenicians, which explained that they were frequently religious syncretists, and were often influenced personally by the faiths of other countries.

Ah...thanks, that could explain the use of Egyptian symbols. Jezebel seems to have been more connected with Baal however, a Canaanite God, than Egyptian deities though, which still makes me skeptical that she was the rings owner.
