CaNoWriMo?

Does it mean Cauldron Novel Writing Month?  How would it work?  Do we just post daily or monthly word counts?

Yes it does. I didn't think to put that down as it'd been talked about in the NaNoWriMo thread, but in retrospect I should've gone into more depth for those who weren't tuned in to NaNoWriMo.

Quite honestly I don't even intend to write daily, so I'm not going to try and push anyone to do so. However I know some people write quite a bit every day, and if they wish to update it that often more power to them.

Since it is implied in the title that it is only a month long, I would suppose the average time to post word counts would be at the end of the week.

Ah, thanks.  I remember them talking about that on NaNoWriMo thread.  So I assume by your post that we're doing it this month.

In that case my word count for this month is 0.  I need to recoup for a few days before I write anything else.

So far I'm at zero.  Haven't worked this weekend - at least, not on fiction.   (now, the video game I'm writing is another story .... )

If I really wanted to be crazy, I'd probably update three times a day - once for each project!   (I usually do two to three writing projects a day, plus editing)

Hey, speaking of this, anyone doing Nanofimo? I didn't hit 50,000 (no where near) so I'm going to try to reach it by Dec 31st.

I'm not going to, for the simple reason that neither a total of 50K words nor another month's writing is going to come close to finishing my novel anyway.  So I'm continuing to work on it, but not with the intent of finishing by the end of the year.    And not necessarily writing every day; I have a lot of development type work to do.  (You'd think after seventeen years it would be all developed, but really there's huge chunks of missing info.)

(And yeah, I'd mentioned NaNoFiMo before, but no biggie--it bears mentioning again.  )

Not officially.  I want to finish not only my half-written NaNo but the very first ms I wrote that only needs a few more chapters to be done by the end of Jan. I'm not registered on that site nor do I want to be.

I’ll play, I suppose. Is there a word count we are going for or is this just a “yay us!” type of thing? I was going to focus on my fanfiction story I’ve been meaning to put into word for months. I think that will do.

Just write. It doesn't really matter what or how much you're aiming for. This is just added incentive to write.

Can just anyone hop in anywhere?  I need some sort of incentive program   I did do Nano this year, although I did not finish as I had some "schtuff" hit me the end of the month.  The main thing to me was to get the discipline going again as far as writing daily, getting a time and place set aside to do so, etc.  Now - December is shaping up to be another one - I am going to be merging two households with dogs, cats, chickens, goats, and horses to consider.  Yet I really do want to keep writing.  Um - maybe I should say get back on track with writing at least 1K or so a day.  *sigh* And the place and time I was using in November, which seemed to be working so nicely, suddenly went to shit.  So I need to get a new time and place set up.  Life gets so blessed complicated sometimes!  HHHHH  I will be working on short stories, not a novel, not right at the moment.
