Recently, I have read that there are other creatures that I didn't realize existed still.

I do know, however, that the Fey, Dragons, and psychic vampires exist. But beyond that, I don't know.

So, what else is out there? Brownies? Werewolves? Vampires?

Lol. Or am I just insane?

As far as physical manifestations in this realm? I would doubt it except for rare cases.

As far as spiritually/astrally there are more things than you could dream up, I'll list everything I've known of/seen...

*Wyrm
*Gremlin
*Evil monster, with funny side-ways mouth. Looked like someone else, but then tried to eat me.
*Little Pressures. Astral "pressures" to do bad things. (I'm so crazy, when I astral travel I can see the crazy.)
*Anthromorphics
*People that have animal characteristics. (Wings, tails...)
    *Dragons in a human form.
*Scary Cat Gargoyles

Wow. Because those don't sound crazy, somebody put me away.  Tongue

Brownies? Sure! Werewolves...well not in this realm, unless you are talking about the Otherkin variety, who do NOT physically change under the light of a full moon. Wink

Vampires: yes, if you mean people with an energy deficiency who require an intake of energy or blood to remain healthy. If you're talking about 5000 year old creatures of the night with super powers, then no.

Parts of me wants to believe -- it would make life seem less boring.  But I'm a fantasy writer so my opinion could be a little screwed Tongue

I'm not one for believing in any sort of mystical creature (call me boring, lol). But as you have pointed out here, it seems that it all depends on how you view the word 'vampire' (for example). Because, by your definition, I seem to have come across a couple of them.

It's not as uncommon as you might think. And the vampires who simply have an energy deficiency do not have any sort of special powers (they may or may not have more magical ability than "average") they do not have fangs (may have longer canines than usual, may not. But that's pretty common amongst humans, vampire or no). They are not immortal. They don't hang out in dark alleys at night and suck people's blood.

There ARE some people who claim to be real vampires...who claim to be thousands of years old etc....I don't believe a word they say.

I once wrote a scene where a vampire made his soon to be victim castrate himself and then eat the organs like a hotdog.  Do you still think you are more warped than I am?

I hate to say this ...

but if he's castrated, it shoulda been meatballs.  it's a full-on gelding (I think) if the penis is removed as well.

getting these things right is important. Cheesy

Ah, I stand corrected.  The hotdog was the first to be eaten and then came the meatballs.  I don't think that this conversation could even be started by non-writers Cheesy

I dont know if it's the same for humans or not, but gelding is the removal of the testicles of a male animal. A horse that has been gelded is called a gelding as opposed to a stallion.
