Theoretically, I suppose you could be of any religion and 'use it.'  The thing is that it's a meta-paradigm.  If you firmly believe in a religion as being true, you're already at a distance from the world view of Chaos magic.  The core concept of Chaos magic is that there is no truth, and belief is a tool.  You adopt the beliefs that wll be useful in attaining a practical end.  Generally Chaos magic dismisses concepts such as transcending the world, enlightenment, and so on.
