Hello, everyone, and welcome to the Cill child board!

This thread is for discussion of shift schedules and group keepings.

Having a separate thread for schedule discussions should help us keep track of those issues more easily.  So, if you want to join the Cill, leave the Cill, change your shift, propose a group shift, or otherwise discuss the shift schedule, do it on this thread.

To start us off, here, once again, is the current shift schedule (which just happens to start today).

Remember, a keeper’s shift begins at sunset ON THE DAY YOU'RE SCHEDULED and carries through until sunset the next day.

So, for example, Mattie is scheduled for the 1st shift.  She starts at sundown (her local sundown) on March 24 and continues until sundown on March 25.

Liliana and Thesaly then start at sundown (their local sundowns) on March 25 and continue until sundown on March 26.

Etc.

Questions, anyone?

I'll be out of town for a week, so I won't see the new schedule when it's posted.  My current shift is perfect - it'll start my first day at the new job. Smiley

I was actually planning on moving you to the 4th shift- as Liliana and Thistle have left the Cill, we have two shifts open. We also have two double shifts, so I was going to put you and Rose in those spots. Would you prefer I leave you where you are now?

Also, I plan to put up the next schedule tomorrow evening.

I'm sorry this is two days late!  Undecided  Life decided to get all hectic on me last minute. If any changes or corrections need to be made, let me know- two Keepers have stepped down, so there was a little bit of rearranging. Most Keepers have retained their original shift. I won't repost the Google Calendar button since we're still on the same page here.

I thought we'd pretty much decided to carry on doing group Keeping for the eight festivals (a fine example of how that pattern, while not historically authentic, has the advantage of being convenient and useful for modern Pagans).

I'm in, certainly.

Yes, I think we had decided that.  IIRC (and I might not, thanks to the killer flu), we said something about how the fire festivals were traditional definites, and we might as well include the solar festivals because they're so familiar to modern pagans.  But that might have been the RCR thread I'm thinking of.

Anyway, it's always good to clarify and confirm.

So, for any Cill member who is interested, let's plan a group shift for Beltane.

Now, WHICH specific date?  Start at local sundown on April 30 and continue until local sundown on May 1?

Of course it means I'll be keeping the flame three times in the space of a week!  Cheesy

The first is fine with me.  I was originally gonna do something on the 5th, but my Mom's gonna be here, so that kinda knocks that idea out, haha!
