Guen,

I just want to second Sunflower's note of thanks.  I REALLY appreciate you jumping in and taking over the work for the healing list.  And I'm really sorry I haven't been around to help much lately.  Hopefully, my life will settle down very soon/.

Well, it's the holidays which means I'm on vacation from work.  Yay!!!!  Unfortunately, that also means I'm going to be MIA from Friday evening until Jan 3 when I return.

My computer at home has some malware that I've been unsucessful at removing so far because I'm computer guts ignorant.  I can get on the internet after I've run a spyware sweep, but that's usually temporary for a couple of hours.

I'll get the list updated on Friday for the next shift, but we're only going to be halfway through the current one, so I'll post the list early and make changes when I get back if anything needs updating.

Or if anybody wants to pick up the torch while I'm out, let me know and I'll get you added to the google spreadsheet.

Happy whatever you celebrate!!!!

If it is that bad, it's probably best to backup important data files, wipe the hard drive and reinstall Windows. Be sure to put a virus scanner on immediately and use it to scan the data files you backed up before putting them back on the drive.

Yeah, I ought to do that.  Except I don't have the Windows disk.  This computer was a freebie to me.  there's really not anything important on there except for my financial data.  I can re-create that if need be.  It'll suck, but it's doable.  Everything else on that computer is throw away.  Because it's old and crotchety and a PC.  I've just been using it until I could afford to get a new Mac.

However, if I burned my Quickbooks files to disk, I guess I could throw them back on my work PC as long as I scanned the disk before I saved the files?  I'm just terrified of screwing up my work PC.

I hope to be here more often during the holidays (some of the work stuff has calmed down a bit, and the headaches are gradually coming under control), so I'll try to keep an eye on the list and keep it updated.

Have fun!

I just did a couple of updates to the list.  It looks like we need to check in with some folks who have remained on the list for a while to see how they're doing.  I'll try to work on that some after New Years.

But this list should be good for now:

Thanks Moon Ivy.  I'm slowly trying to get back in the swing of thing.  Good news is that I FINALLY got all the junk off of my computer.  Yaaaaay!!!!  Apparently you have to switch off the System Restore and Recycle bin when trying to flush these pesky malwares out or else your computer will regenerate them.

No problem.  I'm glad you're making progress with your computer project.

I think, between the two of us, we should probably try to do a "spring cleaning" of the list.  You know, check in with everyone and see who wants to stay on it, etc.  I'm thinking Imbolc would be a good time for that...what with the whole spring cleaning/purification angle.

What do you think?

I keep intending to get into the list and take off my two listings...the one for Joanne and the one for Shirley. Unfortunately, I also keep forgetting.

Since I'm thinking about it right now......

Yeah, I think so too.  I've been meaning to do it for a long while now, but things have just gotten in the way.

Do we want our goal to be "by" Imbolc or "start at" Imbolc?  Because in the past it's often taken a couple of weeks for some people to get back to me when I've contacted them about their needs on the list.

Definitely "start at Imbolc".   Wink

Rock on.  I'm going to put it on my calendar so I actually remember and can make it a more solid goal, haha.

Don't have anywhere to "stick" this post to

Is there a way to put a "button" on your toolbar that constantly updates? Or do we just have to keep checking this thread? How does this work?
