Apparently I've lived a life of dissipation, debauchery, and degeneracy.  When I hear "poppers", I think amyl nitrite.

LOL, that was what I thought too the first time I head the term "poppers" for the explodey things. It was on a party invite from a co-worker and I thought the guy had some balls to advertise his wild party so blatantly. Turns out it was the noise makers.  Cheesy

I keep thinking about how WH will react to this thread if/when he finds it (I'm tempted to email him to tell him he doesn't want to see it, but I suspect he might be as perverse about such things as I am).  I'm not at all sure what would have happened if he was there Shocked Shocked Shocked.

Awww, thanks. Wink  But I'd already found the thread and had nothing to add to the outrage already expressed.

Update:

Well Missy's doing fine, she a little stiff, but no lameness and no swelling. How ever loading her in the trailer is going to be a nightmare, she did fine tonight until she heard a firework go off some where in the neighborhood (Though it may have been a gun considering I live in Tx). After that she came flying out of the trailer and didn't want to go all the way back in, so I opened up the other side (2-horse, straight-load) and walked in with her. Then she jumped in, but she was still nervous.

Update:

Glad to hear she's doing well. Too bad about the loading, however.

I'd like to personally put those stupid gits what spooked her so badly into a "normal" situation for them and do something to spook them the way they did to Missy.

Asshats. Angry Angry (Can you tell Celtee don't have much patience for stupid gits what mistreat animals, theirs or somebody else's, just because they can?)

Then she jumped in, but she was still nervous.

Keep practicing this.  She will eventually associate the trailer with you, not with spooky noises.

Morons keep trying to whip a horse onto a trailer, not taking into consideration that the horse then associates the trailer with the whip.

I have seen veterinarians and medical doctors do this.  No amount of education overcomes the basic moron.

It will take a lot of time and patience, and perhaps many failures, but in the end you will both win.

Glad all is better for missy. She is lucky to have you around!  How are you doing? Not too bruised I hope.

Not bad. My bruise is turning all sorts of colors now, but it only hurts when it's touched.
