My Dianic group is going to be making wands next month.  We are hiking out into the woods to find the right tree, cutting the branch, and then going back to make our wands. 

I'm all for arts and crafts projects, so it sounds like fun, but I can't for the life of me figure out what I'm going to use the wand for.  I've never seen a wand in use at Dianic rituals, there are athames and staffs, but no wands.

Anything I've ever read or heard about wands seems to be that they are used for 'directing energy', but the same seems to be true for athames.

What do you use your wand for?
