With Republicans and Democrats turning to churches and religious leaders for political support, which platform does God support?

Which god?

Someone had to say it!  Smiley

Really, mainstream American politicians are sucking up to Christians and Christian leaders looking for support from their congregations; they're just another special interest group, another voter block.  If there were enough Ásatrúar in America to make them an attractive voting block, the candidates would be blotting to Aesir and Vanir and threatening to sic the Jotun on Iran.

Personally, I'd remind all candidates that there is no such thing as a voting block; Americans are nothing if not contrary.  My vote is my business and I don't have to say anything about it.  I routinely lie to pollsters; it's my recurring homage to Eris...

Besides, telephone pollsters are fun to play with; knock them off script and listen to them flounder.   Grin

The gods always answer our prayers; sometimes their answer is, "Hell, no!" but they always answer...

The reason why the Conservative Christian Religious Right gets so much attention from politicans is because they are one of the few large voting blocs in the US who usually vote AND who actually do pretty much vote in a predictable way en masse.

I have always pictured old Yawha is hard fisted conservative.   On the other had I see Jesus, at least in most respects concerning human well being, as a very liberal Dem.  Or actually either a socialist or even a communist in the communal sense.
