I'm fascinated. How did your mum prove your grandmother was Pocahontas? What research method did she use?

Hi littleowl...glad you found us.
It is surprising who we were related to, isn't it?
My family has done research as well and I am a very distant cousin to Princess Di. I think its very interesting to find your roots.
I was adopted 44 years ago and would still like to find my mother -muchless who I'm related to.
Someday...  Huh

Have fun here.

I think she said her grandmother was Pocahontas; not related to.

I do like it here so far. where i live we have one store to go get books etc. so there isn't much interacction between people. I dont tell people my faith because they wont agree with it so why start an arguement.? i believe in magic and most my friends dont (or they think its a fun game) i dont want to try to change someones religion. This is a good place for me to be open with other people besides my ma and sister

How in the heck do you verify that with family history?

Same here. Is it a store that is geared directly towards Pagan/Wiccans? Or is it just a store that contains the books along with other "regular" things? (for lack of a better word...)
Where I am... We do not have any store that is actually for pagans/wiccans what-have-you... It's a generic bookstore, in a generic mall, with generic incense (that DOES come in handy and is pretty inexpensive.)
We used to have one. Til it closed down. If I want to get any items/materials that are specifically made for a certain purpose in ritual, I would have to go about an hour's drive from here maybe... I COULD order online... Not ebay though lol. Used magick items? i think not. Bad idea all around.

Same here. There aren't too many people here that practice witchcraft or paganism. At least not many that will tell you. I personally don't care if it starts arguments, if they accept me thinking I am still a Christian, then they aren't really accepting me are they?

I feel ya, most of my good friends are either Christian or nonaffiliated with any particular religion (they all have their own sense of spirituality however.) The only person I know okay enough that I would discuss and perhaps do group ritual with would be my boyfriend, because I know him real well, and he knows me. And I know I can trust him completely.

Hi! Welcome to the cauldron. I was wondering if you could clarify your statements about Pocahontas. If memory servesm she wasn't Cherokee, she was Powhatan. And she died in the early 1600s so I'm not sure how she could be your grandmother. No offense, it just sounds rather fantastic is all.

There are stores that sell new stuff on ebay! It's where I usually get incense and candles, stuff that's pretty non-personal, from. Cheap prices are awesome. (Not that I'm addicted to ebay or anything...)

Anyway, off-topic ramble aside, welcome, Lesley.  Smiley

yes i love it! LoL Well i have another question. What does the question and options mean when posting a new message?¿?

It means that you accidentally started a poll when you meant to start a thread.  The program expected you to put in your poll question and then a list of answers people could choose from.

I'll remove the poll for you, if I can do it without removing your thread.
