Many longtime members will remember Cyn (LABYRS on our old board) and her Walk of the Fallen, a labyrinth dedicated to soldiers who have lost their lives in the current Iraq (and Afghanistan) War. She and her son have finally created a web site for it at http://walkofthefallen.com/

There are pictures, a blog, and even a forum (using SMF software so it works much like this one) on the site. They still have more work to do on the site, but Cyn says it is ready for visitors.

I went and it looked okay, but I couldn't read it. It gave me a massive headache as it white type on black background and on another page it had a background of gray with squigglies thing in it.

I would really have liked to stay and read it tho. But the eyes they are not so young anymore.

Cyn posted to her livejournal that registered members can set visual prefs to get something that suits their eyes better, but guests are stuck with the default.

She says if you register and hit 'modify profile', one of the options is 'look and layout preferences'.

That will let you change the forum to a different theme, but it still leaves the white on black text on the main site. Unfortunately, some people's eyes/brain just aren't equipped to handle that.
