We were told today that a family friend who was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer a few months ago will probably not last the night.  He's in a lot of pain, and I believe the current plan is to induce a coma to relieve his suffering.  My DH asked me if I could "do a 'thing' for him" tonight Smiley.  I'm asking for thoughts and prayers for a quick passing for Eugene and his family, and an easy journey for wherever he goes next.

May he slip the bonds of his tired shell swiftly and with ease, and may his family be well.

I like that.  Did you write it, or does it come from another source?
