I am soo glad that I'm not the only one with mental sacred space. When I first set up my garden I would start from scratch EVERY night. The night sky always went up first then my temple. Now I think about my garden and poof I'm there.
I also got tired of only being in my temple. So one night Selene and I ventured out of the temple and my garden has expanded from there.
Thanks to all who have posted. I didn't think there would be so many interested in this topic.

I'm sure this post might belong somewhere else, if it does I'm sorry. I'm still a newbie.
I was wondering if anyone else has Sacred Space like I do?
I think I was reading a Ravenwolf book and she talked about Sacred Space in your mind. I've set up my own "garden." I don't have physical Sacred Space because we don't have enought space and my husband is a different faith than I am.
I go there when I try to meditate and whenever I can't sleep. I have a Grecian temple there (three of my deities are Greek) I also have Celtic and Norse themes there too. (as you can guess I have one God from the Celtic and one from the Norse Pantheons)

I too had it all in my head for years. We lived in a small apartment, no matter what I did there never seemed to be a place for my an altar or anything related.(I'm kinda private about my beliefs and magical doings, but also a social person, so I didn't want my guests/friends to ask questions.) I kept some symbolic things on my bedside table, and some on my desk, but I did most of what I do in an imaginary sacred place. I didn't have a garden, but a secret room with many doors. With time and practice it all got very familiar to me. Now I moved to a bigger house, and just recently found space for my stuff/workings. I'm not used to seeing my tools on a table, so I recently celebrated this very happy "re-union" with the material world. I'm exited to realize that all that was done in my private mind now has thought me to stay focused and visualize  a great deal better, an advantage in any magical workings. I will probably continue to visit my "secret room", in bed or in the bathroom, or when I'm away from home.

Here's a question to go along with the topic: In your sacred spaces have any of you ever had a negative spirit/entity enter there?
I ask this because back in October(this was during a dream I had)  I had this evil looking woman pop into my garden and take something that was mine. When I saw what she had done I said something back to her (apparently in Latin) and the item popped back.
I woke up the next morning really mad that someone would try to invade my personal space.
Any thoughts on how I can keep people/things like her out?
 Any advice would be helpful.
