Maybe you didn't read my post carefully...

I've noticed that this seems to be happening to you a lot; one of the downfalls of a text-based medium is that we can't use tools like tone of voice, body language, etc., to help us convey what we really mean.  All anyone else sees are the words that are actually *on* the page, after all.  And when we're writing, there's often a big disconnect between what we *think* we said and what actually goes down on the page; that's one reasons why it's not good for writers to proofread their own copy, because we see what we meant to say, instead!  Smiley   Maybe it would help if you read over your posts from the perspective of someone who disagrees with you, to make sure that you're conveying *exactly* what you want to say?

I think this is fine advice catja, and I appreciate it. In fact it is going on in a lot in many areas of my life, lately, and I don't know why; it's not something that I have been aware of before. I sometimes have great difficulty making myself understood, and am often puzzled by the reactions of others to my words, when this happens. I'm sorry if I offended anyone, it was not my intention. I just hate the logging industry, and I hate tv shows about it. Maybe that's clear.

  The power of Air,

  And the power of Earth,
for the strength to continue my path.

I know what you mean. I remember enjoying a lot of TV shows in the 60s and many in the 70s. Since then it seems like there are fewer and fewer that aren't just boring or not interesting but are actively annoying.
