« Topic Start: March 03, 2008, 01:09:20 pm »

I got out of my writing class less than an hour ago and guess what greeted me on the side walk?  If you guessed an old guy wearing a big yellow sandwich board with big orange letters saying "Beware if you are a: Homosexual, Idolater, Pagan, Drug Addict..." (you get the idea), than you guessed correctly.  I didn't make direct eye contact with him.  I just walked to the nearby bus stop.

Then, in a big booming voice he said, "Now let me talk about the Rolling Stones guy Mick Jagger.  He did drugs, he's an adulterer, he dated a bisexual which means he supports homosexuals.  What is one thing that Mick Jagger can not get?  I repeat, what is one thing Mick Jagger can not get?"  He repeated himself a few more times and then said, "Mick Jagger can't get no satisfaction."

I swear by my grandparents' graves that I am not making this up.

After he said this I couldn't hear anymore because I was laughing my ass off.  I have no idea if he is really a fundie or it was a piece of performance art and if I wasn't sure I would've commented on how it brilliantly shows how fanaticism can make someone appear insane.

I just had to share that little story.  Does anyone else have similar tales of humor found in unexpected locations?

It didn't look like him.  Now I wish that Lyric was nearby with her car so I could know for sure.
