I though about painting eggs with the family, but I'm allergic, and throwing them out afterwards doesn't seemr right.

Well, you could always just let the family eat them.

I use "Spring Equinox" rather than "Ostara" myself.  I think about it in this way:  it begins the 'light half' of the year.  (Days longer than nights.)  So now is time for more active things rather than passive ones.  Less looking inside myself (divination, meditation) and studying, more doing: ritual, volunteering, caring for the earth, putting plans into motion.  It's also the time for planting seeds, literally and metaphorically.  I think about what kinds of things I am looking to accomplish by the end of the year, and start steps to make them happen.

It's also a good time for the dreaded spring cleaning - again, literally and metaphorically.  Are there bad habits I need to let die?  Old baggage I need to let go?  It's a good time for me to start new habits and endevors.

Just my thoughts, hopefully they are of some help to you.  Smiley
