Again, I'm just curious as to how often our members post messages. Smiley

Well, my profile says 2.33 per day, but I chose 'several times a week' since I think I tend to go in spurts.  Sometimes I just have something to say about everything, sometimes it's too much effort to type and I just wait for somebody else to come along and say what I want said.  (and they usually do Cheesy )

On the other hand, I can say with complete truth that I have read every single message posted on this incarnation of the board and the one before it, and most of the ones on the one before that, which is when I joined.  I was spending a lot more time in bed when I joined and I went through and read most of the older threads as well, and joined DelphiForums and read the ones I could access there.

Strangely, I remember almost all of them, too, except for news and introductions, and can find them when I want with minimal fumbling around.

Can we say 'no life'?

My post average says 2.something, but it doesn't quite feel like that.

Like Darkhawk (surprise, surprise), I almost never start threads, and I generally only post if I've got something specific I want to add. Mostly, that's a time and energy thing: I try to put the time where it'll do the most good.

Same as most people: The count says 7.5 a day, but I think I tend to be slightly random about it. I think there was a week i didn't even come to the Cauldron, and some days I just have nothing to say or no time to say it in. But then, I have only been a member for about a month, and have a pretty good post count I suppose...

I tend to put way too much thought into everything and anything, things that could use just a one-word answer even! Turns into a whole paragraph of nonsense.....

But that is how my mind works, my thoughts race constantly so when I get one thought I lose it and try to make sense of what i was saying. Then I just have to go and explain it. *odd*...

It really varies, depending on what's going on IRL.  The stat is 3 something a day on average, but it's probably been far below that in recent weeks.

1.98 times per day Smiley , but as others have said this is very much in clusters. I have 5-10 a day days and 0 a week weeks so... yeah.

I always seem to be around here someplace and sticking my nose in. Wink

If we're going by profile numbers, mine says I post 10.018 times a day. I've had it up as high as 10.5 times a day, too.

I think only Randall posts more a day than I do; but then he's all over the board as admin so...... Wink

Very rarely. I read almost everything but generally don't have much to say.

I'm on a very slow dial up connection (ah - the country life  Roll Eyes ) so my habit is to just go to all (a total of about 3) message boards once every morning and reply to the interesting looking threads.

My time and availability has severely declined, so I had to guess and vote 'once a week'.  Which, judging by how long I've been on this board (squoosh over one year) and my number of posts (this one is 89), technically I guess I'm averaging about one and a half posts per week.

I visit the board to read practically every day, several times!  I just dont post.  I keep slipping more and more into 'professional lurker' status. Wink

I don't post alot, mainly because I don't 'feel' like I have enough experience to really contribute.

Same here (doesn't really look like it from my post count, but my daily average is pretty small.) I post maybe once, twice a day. I rarely feel like I can actually contribute much either, but I do make comments (not the same thing). Mostly, though, I just ask questions. I guess I'm too scared of putting my foot in my mouth (which I've done several times despite my best efforts Smiley).

Question: Does the post count on my profile count the posts I made on the older forum?
